This Paley Center seminar celebrates the 40th anniversary of
Days of Our Lives, a daytime serial drama focusing on the lives of the Horton family.
After introductory remarks from Barbara Dixon, director of the Paley Center in Los Angeles, about the longest-running dramatic program in NBC's history, moderator Joseph Adalian of Variety introduces the panelists: executive producer Ken Corday and cast members Deidre Hall, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Bill Hayes, Peter Reckell, Kristian Alfonso, Drake Hogestyn, and James Reynolds. They touch on a variety of topics, including the Corday "family dynasty"; how the actors have continually brought new aspects to their characters; the actors' favorite storylines, if the actors ever clash with the writers about a character's development; and the significant role that fans have played over the show's history.
