When Frances, recovering from a broken love afair, moves with her mother to lonely Beck Farm in the Yorkshire Dales, she is going into uncharted territory.
Planning to open a guest house, she encounters only friendliness from the villagers. But there seems to be some mystery about the previous owner of the farm, Ben Thornton.
