Battle's End

Once, Hugh Massey and Arnie Calmont were partners and friends. Now they are bitter enemies, torn apart by their love for the same woman - and their hunger to possess Alec, one of the greatest, most powerful dogs in the Yukon. But Alec has gone wild, and is running at the head of the wolf pack deep in the wilderness. Calmont and Massey call a reluctant truce to track the great animal together. With their friend, Young Joe May, they harness their huskies and set out on their quest through the winter snows - knowing there is no certainty that all or any of them will return alive.
