Failed States is a book about just war theory and the invasion of Iraq. Chomsky is introduced by Robert Tully, a philosophy professor at the Academy.
During the talk, Professor Chomsky criticizes the work of Michael Walzer, an influential proponent of just war theory and the author of the book Just and Unjust Wars.
Later, there is a question-and-answer session with the West Point cadets in the audience about international law and the Bush administration's foreign policy.
